LORE LORN IS OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS.
We are looking for tales.
Folktales. Family legends. Ghost stories. Local lore. Urban legends. Tall tales. Origin stories. Superstitions that grew into stories. Things your grandmother swore happened. Things everyone in your town knows not to do. Poems that tell stories. Song Lyrics about a ghost (or milk maid) from the 19th century.
They may be inherited, retold, adapted, or entirely invented.
What we want is the tale: work that draws from oral storytelling and feels made to be told again.
Submissions can be in the form of poetry, short story, or reviews of books or well-known stories.
We do not accept conventional short fiction with a tiny bit of folklore sprinkled on it, but we do accept the other way around.
Old lore is welcome. So is new lore.
NOTE THAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT WORK WRITTEN IN PART OR FULL BY AI.
